When looked at from the Zen point of view, problems turn into Koans and we find an entirely new way to approach them. This approach puts an end to the usual struggle, conflict and frustration.

It opens new doors, offers unique, life giving ways of interacting with people and situations. As problems turn into koans, they turn into a form of play.

Not only do we find unexpected solutions and guidance, but we become able to enjoy whatever comes our way. Rather than view life as one struggle after another to be conquered, it becomes a wonderful adventure to be relished. And, as we realize that "Everyday Is A Good Day", we become able to appreciate all of it, thoroughly. Problems that are inscrutable and do not have logical answers are called Zen Koans.

They do not yield to reason and cannot be approached in the usual way. Our lives as well, present all kinds of inscrutable problems, which we struggle with again and again.

Despite that, we turn to our logical, rational minds to solve them. We create plans, strategies and hopes that only bind us further. Much of the time we end up stumped, caught in the same old responses again and again. Daily life constantly throws us koans, though we do not usually view them that way.

In this workshop we explore the heart of working with a Zen Koan, and then approach our own life challenges that way.

I n the process we embody and act out both Zen and Daily Life koans, taking each role in it, one after the next. As we do so, new perspectives and possibilities arise, and life no longer becomes one problem after another, but a joyous adventure to enjoy and explore. About Dr.
